Introduction

One of the first phones with five cameras on the board, and several months after the announcement, is still the same with the four behind – it’s Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018)

Sitting at the top of  forever confused Galaxy A-Series, the current model of A9 leaves no doubt that this device is fully loaded with features. Of course, it has got more cameras than any other – it adds the telephoto module to the regular / wide / depth configuration of A7. There is only ‘only’ cam on the front – the 24MP selfie shooter, but it does not have a depth sensor.

It’s not just a camera count, which sets the A9  at the top with comparison to the rest of the Midrange Galaxy models of 2018 – it’s also got the most powerful chipset. Its Snapdragon 660 underlines the exinoscopic chipsets of its younger brothers and less than the recently announced A8 (which lacks one-year designation, so it does not really count).

The  display of the A-Series is also to be found on A9 (2018) is the largest, its 6.3 inch diagonal screen gives a fantabulous feel to the user, Anyways, the A9 (2018) feature set continues with more RAM, which you may possibly need, 128 GB storage which you can extend with a dedicated microscope slot, and Samsung’s fast charging With enough battery capacity – yup, A9 a fancy letter has all the boxes checked.

Okay, we’ve preferred Android Pie instead of last year’s Oreo, but in a world where the Note9 still does not have the “v9.0” of the OS, and the S9  got it only after Christmas , We did not actually expect it in A9, of all models.

And when we generally avoid thinking about the value-vs-performance,  before evaluating the phone over its merits, the numbers Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) is asking for, as soon as the phone is got in through the office door, we got some eyebrows raised around in the office. . We will be quick to go to the results of the laboratory test, but before we do that let’s take a look at the design of the A9.

The Galaxy A9 (2018) is immediately recognizable – as we know, there is no other smartphone with 4 cameras on the back, The quad-cam array is located in the top left corner and we have thought significantly less intrusive – or is it just being used for multi-camera setup?

Solid showing across the board from the 6.3-inch SuperAMOLED

The Galaxy A9 (2018) is equipped with a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display. The 18.5: 9 aspect ratio is FullHD in resolution, so 2220x1080px, which works on 392ppi pixel density. The corners of the panels are round, but none of them is nonsense.

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) battery life:

The Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) has a 3,800mAh battery, a slight collision with A7 (2018), a slight collision of the 3,500mAh , hence it is a more powerful / power-hungry chipset, with almost the same display size of A7.

Galaxy A9 (2018) has an estimated performance. Compared to web browsing, posted a long time in the video looping test – we have not seen it on AMOLED more often.

15 hours in the video test is a great result, is also leading in the room. Our web browsing script is still 11 hours (very short) still very good, but there are some other best example present like Vivo V11 and Realme 2 Pro.

22-hours 3G voice calls is not record-breaking , but still can be considered as a fair score.

Loudspeaker:

Loudspeakers located at the bottom of the handset in the Galaxy A9 (2018), it has hardly come in the ‘Very Good’ bracket in our three-dimensional test, as we have observed in A7 (2018), while a lot All the competitors are better than this. It is also lacking in the lower register – there is practically no bass from A9.

Audio quality:

Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018) gives a loud audio output with an active external amplifier, and with very accuracy.

Headphones have caused moderate amounts of stereo crosstalk and some intermodulation distortion, but that can be considered in real life. Volume Solar remains at a high level in overall performance.

Verdict:

Let’s keep it this way – if you are after the bragging powers for the world’s only quad-rear-cam phone, then OK, the Galaxy A9 (2018) is rather a clear choice. But if you take good pictures with your phone regardless of the number of cameras – well, there are better options available.
